It was announced that the "Alef Multimedia" team has won the prestigious "Hinzpeter "A World at a Crossroads" International Journalism Award  for "2024" , in recognition of their courageous coverage of the Israeli war on Gaza. This award is one of the most esteemed journalism honors in South Korea and Southeast Asia.

The "Hinzpeter Award", launched in 2021 in memory of journalist "Jürgen Hinzpeter", is awarded annually to honor journalists who demonstrate bravery and professionalism in capturing and documenting significant global events, particularly in times of crisis.

Alef Multimedia won the award for their production of the "Voices from Gaza"  series, produced for Witness - Al Jazeera, specifically for the episodes "A Child from Gaza" and "A Rescue Mission in Gaza", which shed light on the civilian suffering amid the ongoing war.

In this moment of celebration, the team also honors the memory of their colleague Marwan Al-Sawwaf, who was one of the award recipients and tragically lost his life while documenting the horrors of war from the heart of Gaza.

The award ceremony will take place in South Korea in November 2024, where the achievements of the winning journalists will be celebrated. Alef Multimedia has also received multiple awards in the United States and the United Kingdom for their films produced under fire during the continuous Israeli war on Gaza.
